VT 2018

One of Capichera’s great challenges: vinifying the Vermentino first in barriques. After fermentation and ageing, the VT is put on the market no earlier than two years after the harvest. This allows it to express its strong, unmistakable and profound character, so much so that it is often considered most representative of the high quality of Capichera’s wines.

Tasting notes

Colour: straw yellow with light golden hues, very clear
Smell: intense and complex with notes reminiscent of orange blossom, lemon, aromatic herbs, wisteria, lavender flowers, liquorice and citrus honey
Taste: dry but simultaneously lively and warm, rich and full-bodied, with citrus and honey tones, while the finish is long and caressing with a strongly persistent aftertaste
