The goal of producing red wines at the same high level as its whites has prompted Capichera over the years to select Sardinia’s most notable native black grape varieties. Thus in 1997, Assajé was born: a blend of those native varieties with a small percentage of Syrah. It represents the achievement of a desire for an elegant and fragrant wine that nevertheless retains power, structure and identity. Assajé means “it’s something”.
